Point of Sale Solutions Consultant Joins J.D. Associates
Posted by Debra Neville
In December 2011 we welcomed Peter Scerra to the J.D. Associates’ team as a Retail Systems Consultant. Peter comes to us with more than 20 years of retail experience. He’ll work diligently with retailers researching POS systems to find the right point of sale solutions to run their business.
After working ten years in the family business, he opened his own retail home furnishings and accessory store which he operated for seven years. Concurrently, he worked as a Sales Representative covering New Hampshire and Vermont for a variety of furniture manufacturers. With an expanded territory, demand for his products, and greater success, he closed his retail store and focused full-time as a manufactures' rep. Through that experience and subsequently throughout his career, he's learned the importance of delivering stellar customer service.
Prior to joining J.D. Associates, Peter worked for three years as a Retail Analyst for the TJX Companies where drilling down to the smallest detail drove sales. Peter's retail and analytical knowledge will be critical when consulting with retailers about point of sale solutions.
Peter will be developing new business for J.D. Associates and connecting with current customers so they are up-to-date with all point of sale product information. He may schedule an on-site visit or make a personal call with the intention of connecting with retailers to ensure their retail point of sale solution is meeting their expectations.
So, if you get a call from "Pistol Pete" (yes, there's a story--ask him when you talk with him), be assured that his goal is to help you find the right point of sale solution to run your retail business.
When not working at J.D. Associates, you may find Peter with a spoon or a shovel in his hand. "Pistol Pete" on the other hand, will be holding a racquet or a bat.

J.D. Associates has been a leading retail point of sale solutions provider since 1989. Retail POS systems aren't cheap, but they are an important investment that can turn your retail business into a profitable one if you get the right system, the right training and the right support. Our advice? Look for a provider that knows retail and knows your business. Technology is one thing, but building processes that work for your business is something else entirely.
