Storing Additional Customer Information: Setting Up Captions

Captions are additional text fields that can be used in the customer, item and supplier databases. This additional information can be used to track birthdays, sport teams, school name or favorites, such as, color or supplier.

To set up Captions open Store Operations Manager>File>Configuration>Caption (which is in the lower left-hand corner). This will bring up a window where you enter the titles into the text fields. Enter the Field Names that you want to record. The caption fields are also available to view in reports.
