The Bridge Tool is used to move data in or out of Retail Pro. If you have a Bridge that you run regularly, such as exporting customers or importing inventory, you can schedule it to run through the Scheduler.

  1. Set up your Bridge Map and ensure that it’s working correctly.
  2. Open up the Retail Pro Scheduler.
  3. Select Edit>Add Task. The Task Properties window will open.
  4. On the General tab, select the action to be Run Program.
  5. Select the BRIDGE utility to be the Program Name.
  6. Set the Start In folder to be \Retail\RPro.
  7. In the Parameters field enter the Bridge Map name.
  8. On the Schedule tab, set up when and how often you want the Bridge to run.
  9. Select the OK button to save the task.
  10. To ensure the task runs correctly you don’t have to wait until the scheduled time, you can right-click on the task in the Scheduler and choose Run Now.
