Dealing with Tax-Free Holidays in RMS
Tax-Free "holidays" have become quite trendy in retail lately. Any retailer should know how to make his/her sales tax-exempt. In RMS, the process is quite simple. At POS, the SHIFT+F5 key is the "No Tax" key. When tendering a sale that is tax-exempt, enter all tax-exempt items onto the receipt screen. Then, press the SHIFT+F5 "No Tax" button before tendering the sale. You will notice that all items are set to tax-exempt status. Continue along with normal tendering.
