From the Editor's Desk: It's Been a Good Thing
Welcome to the Best of 2005, a collection of the most widely read articles of the year. Why do a “best of” newsletter, you ask? Two reasons:
- At a time of the year when friends and relatives regift, J.D. Associates does as well. The difference is these articles, which we are republishing, were once popular. Our readers loved them, unlike those polyester monogrammed handkerchiefs you received as a regift (with the wrong initials) from Auntie Clara.
- We need a break. It’s true. Publishing a monthly newsletter that demands fresh and interesting information, is hard work.
I’ve enjoyed the responsibility and challenge of publishing and editing the “Point of Saler” for the last two years. There comes a time though, to pass the red pencil. The time is now. Starting with the January issue, Linda Donaldson will have her name on the masthead next to Editor. Please welcome her, as she will welcome you and your suggestions. This newsletter is yours. It can be what you want it to be in terms of content and direction, so continue to share your ideas with Linda. lindad@jdapos.com
Originally I set the bar for the quality of this monthly, but you, our readers, demanded we raise the bar with every issue. And that too was a good thing.
I, along with everyone at J.D. Associates, wish you and your family a wonderful, fun-filled, safe holiday season.
Warmest regards,
Debra Neville
