Resetting PT2000 Memory

Have a PT that has been sitting for a while? When you turn it on does it flash “Please set clock”?

Well, this means that the internal battery on your PT2000 is not charged. Hold down Alpha/Enter and while holding them down remove the batteries. Keep holding down Alpha/Enter and insert new batteries.

You will be prompted to set the clock and date. Once this is done, allow the AA Batteries to charge the internal battery. The PT should work “like a champ” after this procedure.

VERY IMPORTANT:
NEVER plug cooling fans, heaters, or air conditioning units into a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply unit).
